Job summary

Sunrock is seeking a senior Controller to oversee all financial operations for a family office, holding companies, real estate entities, trusts, and philanthropic foundations. You will ensure rigorous accounting, confidentiality, and liaison with external tax, investment, and legal advisors.

You will own the general ledger, prepare financial statements, and manage treasury, tax coordination, and internal controls across multi-entity structures. Strong communication with principals is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license strongly preferred.
• 8 to 10+ years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Experience in public accounting or family office/private wealth management is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, SharePoint, and modern ERP/accounting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full general ledger and accounting cycle across multi-entity structures.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and schedules.
• Manage treasury, cash flow, and capital calls for investments.
• Coordinate tax planning, filings, and K-1 reviews with external CPAs.
• Maintain internal controls and documentation for family governance.
