Job summary

Stone Management, a Rockland County family office, is seeking a sharp CPA to lead accounting operations. This in-office role requires 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including family office, private equity, or wealth management exposure.

You will oversee full-cycle accounting, cash management, tax coordination, and investment accounting. The ideal candidate holds a CPA and a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, with advanced Excel skills and experience in QuickBooks,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA certification is required.
• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in family offices/private equity/HNW wealth management.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, Genesis).
• High discretion with confidential financial and personal information.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive, hands-on bookkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle accounting including monthly, quarterly, and annual close.
• Prepare financial statements for individuals, trusts, LLCs, and foundations.
• Manage cash flow forecasting, wire transfers and capital calls.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors for K-1s, estimated taxes, and audits.
• Track investment accounting for PE co-investments, real estate, and public equities.
• Maintain robust internal controls and accounting systems.
