Job summary

JLL in San Jose, CA is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to lead operations for a complex commercial portfolio. You will manage day-to-day facilities, direct a team, oversee vendor relationships, and develop long-term maintenance and cost-saving strategies.

The role focuses on delivering exceptional service while aligning with client objectives. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in facilities management, with leadership experience, strong knowledge of building systems, and proven budget

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, business or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive facilities management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety and building automation systems.
• Proven multi-site portfolio and multi-million dollar budgets management experience.
• Strong leadership, client service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities operations for a complex portfolio of commercial properties.
• Lead a team of facilities professionals and mentor staff.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets and capital plans.
• Serve as primary client liaison and drive proactive problem solving.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, vendor contracts and service agreements.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety and environmental regulations.
• Lead special projects, renovations and sustainability initiatives.
• Prepare reports and analytics on operations and financial trends.
