Job summary

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, well known as the world’s largest business organization, seeks an entrepreneurial event manager to plan and execute a portfolio of meetings and events.

You will lead from concept through on-site delivery, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure impact and ROI. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years in events/media, strong communication, meticulous organization, and a proven ability to manage complex portfolios while negotiating contracts and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant media, corporate events, or hospitality experience.
• Full events life cycle program and project management experience strongly preferred.
• Effective communication and presentation skills and the ability to forge strong, trusting relationships with clients.
• Meticulous attention to detail and superior organization.
• Ability to manage complex and fast-changing portfolios of work and prioritize effectively in response.
• Creative and strategic thinking with an emphasis on customer service to meet clients’ objectives.
• Strong negotiating, contracting, and budgeting skills.
• An entrepreneurial spirit and a track record showing initiative and ownership of work.
• Strong proficiency with collaboration tools like SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize and implement a wide range of Chamber programs.
• Manage project-wide deliverables through cross-functional collaboration and day-to-day communications.
• For in-person events, oversee vendor and venue logistics and setup.
• For virtual events, lead agenda development and run of show.
• Collaborate with producers and AV engineers on logistics and production.
• Support audience communications and external marketing and promotion.
• Partner with sales and client managers to deliver value to sponsors and partners.
• Manage vendors, venues, and production partners with clear budgets and deadlines.
• Encourage innovation and share best practices across teams.
