Job summary

ALJSCO Management in Louisville, KY seeks an Event Services Manager to coordinate meetings and events from sales handoff through post-event wrap.

You will work with Sales and Operations to ensure contract details are met, oversee room blocks, catering and AV needs, and deliver exceptional service for internal and external guests. This role requires flexible hours, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple events in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of catering sales or conference services experience.
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays in a 24-hour operation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Professional appearance and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee conventions for sales and conflict resolution.
• Anticipate group revenues as per established guidelines.
• Supervise contracted group room blocks for cutoffs and attrition.
• Conduct Planning Meetings and Site Inspections as per guidelines.
• Assure client satisfaction through convention implementation as measured by surveys.
• Oversee and enforce program deadlines to maximize hotel revenues.
• Disseminate BEOs for group and affiliates 10–14 days before events.
• Anticipate group rooms and F&B revenues for affiliate business within 5% variance.
• Engage in site visits and plan meetings for upcoming group and potential affiliate business.
• Engage in convention meetings and assess bills with clients.
• Deliver best service, quality and value to customers.
• Manage customer relationships from handoff to post-event follow-up.
• Liaise between field sales, operations and customers during events.
• Implement guarantee and cut-off policies.
• Detail setup of meeting rooms and sleeping room configurations.
• Other special projects or assignments as needed.
