Job summary

U.S. Pacific Fleet in Hawaii seeks a Recruitment Specialist to oversee the engineering recruitment and selection for the Engineering and Planning Department. You will partner with NEPD to manage recruitment activities and develop hiring programs to meet workforce needs.

You will engage in outreach, coordinate events, and establish guidelines for hiring managers, aiming to place qualified engineers across divisions while maintaining security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Especialized experience in evaluating workforce staffing requirements to plan recruitment events or strategies.
• Experience with federal hiring processes and security clearance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee recruiting and selection of Engineers with NEPD partner.
• Manage employee development activities for recruitment/retention of EPD engineers.
• Organize recruiting events, coordinate trips/site visits and outreach on engineering hiring needs.
• Develop local engineering hiring program policies and procedures to support NAVSEA goals.
• Manage engineering recruiting to meet forecasted workforce needs with qualified engineers.
• Create guidelines for hiring managers regarding recruitment.
• Develop and monitor selection process to place candidates in divisions.
• Collaborate with shipyard personnel and engineering recruiters at other Naval Shipyards.
• Plan and manage internal/external job fairs to raise awareness in Hawaii.
• Participate in outreach at education institutions, presenting and hands-on activities.
