Job summary

Pacific Shipyards International, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer in Hawaii to serve as the primary technical representative from planning through customer turnover. You will collaborate with Project Management, Production, Planning, QA, Estimating, Procurement and customers to craft engineering solutions, prepare work packages, and resolve production issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical, Marine, or Naval Architecture.
  • 0–5 years of engineering experience; ship repair or marine experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with ABS, USCG, NAVSEA, IACS, and contracts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support to production personnel to maintain project schedules.
  • Review design and repair details of vessels including Naval Architecture, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical.
  • Develop engineering solutions and prepare work packages.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Production, QA, Estimating and Procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements and safety standards.
  • Participate in project meetings, dock trials, sea trials, and customer meetings.
