Job summary

NGK Automotive Ceramics USA, Inc. seeks an Engineering Key Account Manager for our Novi, MI sales office. The role requires an Engineering Bachelors with 3–5 years in application engineering or account management, plus strong technical and commercial skills.

The candidate will lead customer communications, coordinate product strategies, and support PPAP/production programs while engaging with Product Management and HQ. Hybrid work and travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of direct experience as application engineer or similar position.
• Knowledge of emissions ceramics products; coater and canner experience preferred.
• Strong customer interface and negotiation skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all interactions with the customer and own the business account.
• Aim to establish NGK as global top supplier at the customer.
• Ensure commercial success by meeting sales and profit targets.
• Maintain broad customer communications with OEMs and supply chain partners.
• Coordinate contract negotiations and pricing with support from HQ.
• Present to customers on technical and commercial topics.
