Job summary

Dow Jones Energy Sponsorship Sales and Business Development Representative is responsible for prospecting and closing sponsorships and group registrations at assigned events. You will build relationships with trade associations, publications, and organizations globally, working with marketing and editorial teams to qualify and convert prospects.

Reports to the Executive Director - Conference & Event Operations.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of sponsorship sales experience, energy sector preferred.
• Customer satisfaction and relationship-building focus.
• Maintains positivity in fast-paced environments.
• Interest in conference topics and industry trends.
• Salesforce or Cvent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new sponsorship opportunities and customers from leads.
• Respond to and close sales leads for events.
• Develop prospects for external sales outreach with the team.
• Expand prospects for attendance and sponsorships across the portfolio.
• Build cross-functional relationships for rapid opportunity identification.
• Ensure contracts and agreements are executed promptly.
• Travel 5-10% domestically and internationally to meet sponsors.
• Take on additional responsibilities to grow the team.
