Job summary

Google seeks an experienced Strategic Negotiator to structure and negotiate energy supply deals for its data centers. You will lead complex PPAs, behind-the-meter energy arrangements, and utility contracts while coordinating regional market analyses and technical assessments.

Role involves building partnerships with IPPs, utilities, and energy stakeholders, contributing to cost savings and scale. The position offers competitive compensation, equity, and benefits within Google’s energy strategy

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience in energy project development, utility procurement, or finance/consulting roles.
6 years of experience developing or structuring PPAs for microgrids, BTM, gas turbines, BESS, fuel cell or geothermal energy.

Responsibilities

Lead highly complex energy supply formation and commercial structuring, including first-of-kind behind-the-meter energy deals.
Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across regional market trends, project economics, risk, and engineering analyses.
Develop relationships with energy partners including IPPs, utilities, co-ops, and other stakeholders.
Contribute to the growth of Google's data center portfolio via energy due diligence and site development.
