Job summary

Google is seeking a Strategic Negotiator to secure infrastructure for its growing footprint, including data center space and energy contracts. You will negotiate complex agreements, manage vendor relationships, and present recommendations to technology leadership, influencing substantial cost savings.

Role requires market knowledge of energy, data center operations, and strong cross-functional collaboration with engineering, legal, finance, and accounting teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in energy project development, utility procurement, or finance/consulting roles.
• 6 years of experience in data center colocation and leasing.

Responsibilities

• Lead transactions negotiations and structuring for data center colocation and leasing contracts, energy supply, renewable energy power purchase agreements, partnerships/JVs, and other data center-related energy contracts.
• Contribute to the growth of Google's data center portfolio through energy due diligence during site selection and data center project development.
• Help set strategy for Google's energy procurement program, including the procurement of carbon-free energy in support of Google's clean energy goals.
• Develop and lead agreement approvals, investment memos, and other transaction related materials with senior executives and partner teams, working with team members and cross-company partner teams (Engineering, Finance, Legal, Accounting, etc).
• Manage strategic relationships with key suppliers including utilities, IPPs, project developers, etc.
