Guidehouse in McLean, VA seeks an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to partner with HR and business leaders, advising on risk mitigation, policy interpretation, and fair, compliant resolution of workplace issues.

In this role you will handle investigations, counsel managers, monitor trends in case data, contribute to policy updates, and deliver training to promote effective, respectful management across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR or related field.
• 6+ years of related HR experience in employee relations.
• Knowledge of federal and state EEO laws.
• Experience training management on HR topics.
• Counseling managers on conflict, performance, and misconduct.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise executives and managers on a broad range of employment issues.
• Manage grievance process from initiation to closure.
• Develop and review People policies and procedures.
• Deliver training to enable effective management practices.
• Stay current on employment laws and ensure policy compliance.
• Support organizational restructures and large-scale reductions.
