Job summary

YMCA of Greater Brandywine is seeking an Employee Relations & Compliance Manager to lead the association's employee relations and compliance functions across all branches. You will manage investigations, disciplinary actions, and supervisor coaching, while owning unemployment compensation processes and clearance compliance, reporting to the AVP of HR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five or more years of progressive HR experience, including employee relations.
• Proven experience leading workplace investigations from intake to findings.
• Experience managing unemployment compensation claims and hearings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations across branches, ensuring fair, timely resolutions.
• Manage caseload from intake to closure with thorough documentation.
• Advise supervisors on performance issues, policy interpretation and actions.
• Conduct impartial workplace investigations and report findings.
• Own unemployment compensation processes, including SIDES responses and hearings.
• Oversee I-9 compliance, clearances, licensing and accreditation records.
