Job summary

BW Packaging is seeking a Senior Leader, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to shape and drive the company-wide EHS strategy across multiple manufacturing sites in the United States. You will embed safety into daily work, lead workers’ compensation efforts, and champion continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in safety/engineering and 7+ years of EHS leadership experience, with CSP/CIH/CHMM or NEBOSH preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in safety, operations, engineering or related field.
7+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience.
Professional certifications (CSP/CIH/CHMM/NEBOSH) strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success developing EHS programs across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and continuously improve the EHS strategy aligned with business goals.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and local safety regulations; conduct audits and risk assessments.
Lead safety programs (LOTO, arc flash, safe lifting, machine safety) and safety culture initiatives.
Drive environmental compliance and permitting; manage environmental reporting and audits.
Oversee US Workers’ Compensation, including cost control and RCCA implementation.
Deliver EHS training and build a culture of safety ownership.
Establish EHS KPIs, dashboards and reporting to executives.
Lead and develop teams across BW Packaging with accountability for outcomes.
