Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller’s BW Packaging division seeks a Senior Leader of Environmental Health & Safety to drive the EHS strategy across multiple manufacturing sites. You will align operational teams with safety objectives, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead Workers’ Compensation initiatives while embedding a culture of care.

The role requires 7+ years in EHS leadership, CSP/CIH/CHMM/NEBOSH credentials preferred, and a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, operations, engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS leadership in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM or NEBOSH preferred.
• Proven track record developing EHS programs across multiple sites.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement standardized EHS systems.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Significant experience with Workers’ Compensation management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills across diverse functions.
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the EHS strategy across multiple manufacturing sites.
• Standardize governance, policies, and procedures across sites.
• Advise executives on EHS risks, trends, and regulatory impacts.
• Lead OSHA compliance, audits, and incident investigations.
• Manage Workers' Compensation program, including return-to-work.
• Build and sustain a strong safety culture and training programs.
