Job summary

IREN is seeking an Executive Assistant to support the VP of Platform Engineering and partner with the leadership team to improve how the organization runs. You will manage calendars, coordinate interview loops, and help streamline processes during a period of rapid growth.

The role requires strong communication, discretion, and the ability to navigate ambiguity while keeping programs on track. Expect autonomy, cross-team collaboration, and a focus on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 3+ years supporting senior leaders (executive assistant, business support partner, or similar).
• Experience managing complex calendars across time zones with prioritization decisions.
• Ability to operate with a high degree of ambiguity and deliver outcomes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; know what to elevate and what to handle personally.
• Discretion and integrity handling confidential information.
• Excellent organization and follow-through; track commitments and close them out.
• Proficiency with everyday business tools (calendar, email, documents, spreadsheets, collaboration platforms).
• Preference for high trust, high autonomy environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage a complex calendar for the VP of Platform Engineering across time zones.
• Support scheduling across the leadership team and make prioritization calls when needed.
• Partner with leadership to improve communication, tracking, and reporting of progress.
• Streamline business processes and build repeatable ways of working where none exist.
• Coordinate interview loops and keep candidates informed during the hiring process.
• Run operating rhythms: leadership meetings, all-hands, offsites and team events.
• Coordinate travel and prepare expense reporting.
• Ensure follow-ups on commitments and act as liaison between VP and direct reports.
• Handle confidential information with discretion including hiring, personnel, and compensation matters.
