Job summary

CGS (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Discovery Business and System Analyst to join the Legal department in a full-time capacity. The role focuses on documenting and improving business processes, conducting gap analyses, and validating solutions to support government contracting and IT initiatives.

The analyst will gather requirements, manage a requirements database, and produce analyses of alternatives for PMO prioritization.

Qualifications

• Documents and manages new and existing business processes to support training, analysis, and redesign.
• Conducts thorough analyses of current and proposed processes to identify efficiency improvements.
• Performs gap analysis for modifications to existing processes.
• Creates and maintains a requirements database documenting how each requirement is supported.
• Validates proposed solutions meet underlying business needs.
• Collects marketing materials from providers that claim to satisfy requirements.
• Documents and manages functional capabilities provided by IT solutions.

Responsibilities

• Document and manage new and existing business processes to facilitate training, analysis and redesign.
• Conduct thorough analyses of existing and new business processes to identify opportunities for improving workforce efficiency.
• Perform gap analyses for modifications to existing business processes and requirements.
• Create and maintain a requirements database showing how each requirement is supported by solutions.
• Validate that proposed solutions address the underlying business needs.
• Collect marketing materials from industry providers that claim to satisfy identified requirements.
• Document and manage functional capabilities provided by IT solutions.
• Analyze capabilities against documented requirements to identify technology gaps.
• Compare marketing materials and deliver an Analysis of Alternatives for PMO prioritization.
• Validate that proposed solutions deliver new functional capabilities addressing requirements.
• Build and execute test scripts to evaluate capabilities across products for recommendations.
• Review solution configuration changes to keep the Discovery Program's capabilities up to date.
• Perform additional systems analysis research and documentation tasks as assigned.
