CGS is seeking a Discovery Business and System Analyst to support the Legal department in a fast-paced government services environment. You will document and analyze business processes, identify efficiency opportunities, and validate IT solutions against business needs.

Qualifications

• Experience documenting and managing new and existing business processes for training, analysis, and redesign.
• Ability to analyze current processes and identify opportunities to improve workforce efficiency.
• Ability to analyze operational business requirements and perform gap analyses for changes.
• Experience building a requirements database documenting how each requirement is supported.
• Ability to validate that proposed solutions meet underlying business needs.
• Experience collecting and evaluating industry materials to support solutions.

Responsibilities

• Document and manage new and existing business processes to support training, analysis, and redesign.
• Conduct thorough analyses of current and new business processes to find efficiency opportunities.
• Perform gap analyses for required modifications to existing processes.
• Create and maintain a requirements database showing how each requirement is addressed.
• Validate that proposed solutions satisfy the underlying needs.
• Collect marketing materials from providers and compare them to business needs for recommendations.
• Document and manage functional capabilities provided by IT solutions.
• Analyze capabilities against requirements to identify technology gaps affecting processes.
• Produce analyses of alternatives to help PMO prioritize projects.
• Validate that proposed solutions deliver new business capabilities addressing requirements.
• Build and execute test scripts to evaluate capabilities across products for buy decisions.
• Review solution configuration changes to maintain an accurate view of business capabilities.
• Conduct other systems analysis research and documentation tasks as assigned.
