Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Senior Discovery Business and System Analyst to join the Legal department on a full-time, executive level basis. The role focuses on documenting and analyzing business processes, validating requirements, and guiding IT solution capabilities to improve efficiency across government-focused initiatives.

Qualifications

• Document and manage new and existing business processes to facilitate training, analysis, and redesign.
• Analyze existing and new business processes; identify opportunities to improve workforce efficiency.
• Analyze operational business requirements and perform gap analysis for modifications.
• Create and maintain a requirements database documenting how each requirement is supported.
• Validate that proposed solutions meet the underlying need.
• Collect marketing materials from industry providers claiming to satisfy requirements.
• Document and manage new and existing functional capabilities provided by IT solutions.
• Analyze capabilities vs. documented requirements to identify technology gaps.
• Compare marketing materials and deliver an Analysis of Alternatives for PMO use.
• Validate that proposed solutions deliver new functional business capabilities.
• Build and execute test scripts to evaluate products and provide recommendations.
• Review solution configuration changes to maintain an accurate capabilities picture.
• Perform other systems analysis research and documentation tasks as assigned.
