Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Discovery Business and System Analyst in its Legal department. This full-time executive-level role focuses on documenting and optimizing business processes, analyzing requirements, and supporting IT solutions.

You will create and maintain a requirements database, assess gaps, gather materials from providers, build test scripts, and ensure configuration changes keep the program aligned with business needs. Strong analytical skills required.

Qualifications

• Contractor shall document and manage new and existing business processes to facilitate training, analysis, and redesign.
• Contractor shall conduct thorough analysis of existing and new business processes and identify opportunities for improving workforce efficiency.
• Contractor shall analyze operational business requirements and perform gap analyses for modifications.
• Contractor shall create and maintain a requirements database documenting support for each requirement.
• Contractor shall validate proposed solutions meet underlying needs.

Responsibilities

• Contractor shall collect marketing materials from industry providers claiming to satisfy identified business requirements.
• Contractor shall document and manage functional capabilities provided by IT solutions.
• Contractor shall analyze existing capabilities against requirements to identify technology gaps.
• Contractor shall compare marketing materials and deliver an Analysis of Alternatives for PMO prioritization.
• Contractor shall validate that proposed solutions deliver new functional capabilities.
• Contractor shall build and execute thorough test scripts to evaluate capabilities and products.
• Contractor shall review solution configuration changes to maintain an accurate picture of business capabilities.
• Contractor shall perform other systems analysis tasks as assigned.
