Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance seeks a Director to lead comparative rater strategy, market intelligence, and analytics across its Partners distribution channel. The role partners with Product, Distribution, Marketing, IT, and Finance to drive growth, retention, profitability, and channel efficiency.

This working management position requires strong leadership and hands-on analysis, developing recommendations and influencing business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field required; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in insurance analytics, competitive intelligence, or distribution strategy.
• Minimum 5 years leading analytical or business performance teams.
• Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance and agency distribution models.
• Proficiency with comparative rating platforms (Vertafore, EZLynx, PL Rating, EPIC, Bolt) is a plus.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and experience with large data environments.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills using Excel, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, Python, or R.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comparative rater strategy and platform roadmap.
• Lead vendor relationships to improve quote performance and agent experience.
• Collaborate with Product, Underwriting, IT to implement product and rate changes.
• Optimize rater workflows, eligibility rules, and quote return performance.
• Analyze market trends and competitiveness to drive growth and profitability.
• Create dashboards and executive reporting to benchmark performance across channels.
• Lead a high-performing team and align priorities with strategic objectives.
• Present findings to executives and translate insights into actionable decisions.
