Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Director of Project Controls to lead financial health, scheduling, and planning for multiple projects. The role emphasizes leadership development, effective communication with stakeholders, and strong discipline in planning, budgeting, procurement, and risk management.

The position requires extensive experience in project controls within the solar/construction sector and a track record of delivering on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Project Controls/Project Management experience and a proven construction background.
• 5+ years of solar self-perform construction experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (8 years construction exp) in Engineering/Construction/Business/PM.

Responsibilities

• Vision, Strategy, and Initiatives: establish the department’s vision and annual initiatives, provide budget, resources, processes, and tools.
• Promote and Drive Culture: lead a positive culture aligned with core values and success tenets.
• Fiscal Responsibility: create a predictable fiscal outcome through planning and monitoring; communicate deviations to stakeholders.
• People Leadership: develop leaders to deploy the project controls system and achieve high performance.
• Resources: hire and enable teams; ensure alignment and positive work environment.
• Talent Development: provide coaching and feedback for progress.
• Operational Excellence: align with other Department Directors and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• Process Improvements: implement a consistent, predictable business strategy; reduce operational risk.
• Tools: manage the system that delivers results and remove roadblocks.
