Job summary

Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Director of Project Controls in Colorado to lead financial health, scheduling, and planning for renewable energy projects. You will develop leaders, manage budgeting, procurement, and risk, and collaborate across teams to drive project success.

The role emphasizes building relationships, customer collaboration, and driving a culture of excellence while delivering projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of Project Controls/Project Management experience and a proven construction background.
• 5+ years of solar self-perform construction experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (8 years) in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, Project Management, or related field from an accredited university.
• Demonstrated experience in Project Controls Management and leadership of people.
• Strong leadership abilities and interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must have a valid current driver license.
• Travel required.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, strategy, and annual initiatives for the Project Controls Department and allocate budget and resources.
• Promote a positive culture aligned with core values and professionalism.
• Lead fiscal responsibility, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and change management for projects.
• Monitor performance against baselines using KPI data and communicate with stakeholders.
• Identify change in scope and assist PMs with change orders.
• Identify risks and develop mitigation for schedule and cost.
• Validate forecasted cost to complete and cost at completion.
• Facilitate analyses to improve project conditions and performance.
