Job summary

Forest Hills Local Schools in Cincinnati, OH, seeks a Director of Business Operations to oversee Facilities/Maintenance, Food Service, and Transportation. You will partner with the Superintendent, Treasurer and HR to ensure safe, compliant operations district-wide and drive financial planning and capital projects.

The role requires strong leadership, project management, budget oversight, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced public school environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, accounting, business or related field; master's preferred.
• Three to five years of related business management experience.
• Valid Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Business Manager License or ability to obtain license.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written, with diverse stakeholders.
• Project management skills for capital improvement projects.
• Computer skills to maintain departmental records and reports.
• Analytical ability and mathematical aptitude for forecasting and financial analyses.
• Supervisory skills to manage daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Facilities & Maintenance, Food Service, and Transportation departments.
• Develop and implement departmental goals, standards, policies, and procedures; revise workflows to improve efficiency.
• Identify facility needs and capital improvement plans for each building in the District.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and permits; contract services as needed.
• Monitor progress of projects; review documents and coordinate site visits.
• Maintain communications on project status with stakeholders and leaders.
