Job summary

SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium (SEARHC) seeks a Director of Primary Care to oversee day-to-day clinic operations across primary care sites in Southeast Alaska, based in Juneau. The role drives performance improvement, budget management, and service integration with facilities, IT, labs, and behavioral health to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, public health, nursing, or similar field.
• Master’s degree or higher preferred and certification in healthcare leadership preferred.
• Experience with clinic administration, budgeting, and regulatory requirements (TJC/CMS/HIPAA).

Responsibilities

• Directs administrative, professional, and supervisory staff in planning and implementing day-to-day clinic operations in primary care.
• Manages budgets and coordinates with operations, medical leaders, and partner departments to improve care delivery.
• Leads quality improvement and safety initiatives; ensures regulatory compliance and promotes patient-centered care.
• Builds local leadership, supports staff development, and fosters collaboration across multiple sites.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration, public health, nursing, or similar field

Master’s Degree or higher is preferred

Certification through the American College of Healthcare Executives, Medical Group Management Association, or similar organization is preferred
