Job summary

SEARHC in Juneau, Alaska, is seeking a Director of Primary Care to oversee day-to-day clinic operations across primary care sites. You will lead administrative, clinical, and support teams, manage budgets, and ensure high-quality patient care in alignment with SEARHC's strategic plan.

This exempt leadership role requires a bachelor’s in health care administration or related field; a master’s degree and professional certification are preferred, with 7+ years of clinic management experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health care administration or related field required.
• Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Certification through a healthcare executives body is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs administrative and management staff in planning, development, and implementation of day-to-day clinic operations.
• Liaises with patients, SEARHC departments, and external providers; addresses concerns and incorporates feedback.
• Implements objectives aligned with strategic health plan and quality initiatives; leads improvement projects.
• Monitors patient satisfaction and drives processes to enhance service quality.
• Oversees budgets for clinics and ensures efficient service delivery within budget.
• Promotes staff engagement, training, and professional development within the consortium.
• Collaborates with specialty and ancillary services to improve access to care.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in health care administration, public health, nursing, or similar field

Master’s Degree or higher preferred

Certification through professional bodies preferred
