Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a DER Procurement Leader to steer the procurement strategy for Distributed Energy Resources across EPC partnerships. You will cultivate supplier ecosystems, negotiate MSAs, and ensure governance alignment with Enterprise Procurement.

The role emphasizes cost efficiency, risk management, and long-term asset performance. You will lead complex negotiations, manage supplier risk, and collaborate with engineering, legal and finance teams to deliver scalable, compliant solutions

Qualifications

• Strategic sourcing and end-to-end supplier lifecycle management in a governed enterprise environment.
• DER technologies and delivery models; EPC partners and OEMs' scope, risk and pricing.
• Policy requirements impacting DER sourcing and bid competitiveness implications.
• Master agreements and project forms addressing warranties, LDs and performance.
• Mitigating commodity volatility, lead-time constraints and capacity bottlenecks.
• Supplier governance with scorecards, risk/compliance frameworks and ESG integration.
• Benchmarking suppliers and delivery models; should-cost and total cost of ownership views.
• Developing category strategies aligned with sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead DER procurement strategy and supplier ecosystem.
• Negotiate master agreements and manage supplier relationships.
• Oversee sourcing activities, evaluations, logistics and ordering.
• Design MSAs enabling scalability and long-term asset performance.
• Align DER sourcing with Enterprise Procurement governance.
• Implement supplier governance and ESG compliance.
• May oversee direct reports.
