Job summary

McKinstry is seeking a DER Procurement Leader to direct and execute the DER procurement strategy within EcoDistrict Services. Lead supplier relationships, master agreements, and compliance across DER/EPC, aligning with Enterprise Procurement and driving long-term savings.

You will manage partner networks, monitor supplier ESG, and guide governance with an emphasis on policy navigation (IRA, domestic content, tariffs) and risk mitigation. Role may include supervising direct reports.

Qualifications

• Strategic sourcing and end-to-end supplier lifecycle management in a governed enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of DER technologies and EPC delivery models; understanding risk/pricing in scope.
• Working knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting DER sourcing and bid competitiveness.
• Experience developing master agreements (MSAs/MSAs) and project forms with warranties and LDs.
• Expertise mitigating commodity volatility, lead-time constraints, and capacity bottlenecks.
• Knowledge of supplier governance, safety, ESG, scorecards and qualification processes.
• Ability to benchmark suppliers and delivery models, and derive should-cost/TCO insights.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic advisor to DER leadership, translating goals into supply chain strategies.
• Identify, build and manage partnerships with suppliers for quality, price and availability.
• Lead sourcing and procurement activities including supplier evaluations and negotiations.
• Design and execute Master Supply Agreements to enable long-term asset performance.
• Align DER sourcing with Enterprise Procurement governance and policy.
• Implement supplier governance, monitor ESG and safety compliance.
• May directly manage one or more direct reports.
