Job summary

Istari is seeking a Deployment Strategist to own program outcomes end-to-end, embedding with engineers on flagship projects and serving as the program manager on major federal programs. You will define success, prioritize problems, and prove milestones while maintaining direct accountability for all commitments.

You will work with government and industry customers, build lasting relationships from end users to executives, and guide a small engineering team without unnecessary intermediaries.

Qualifications

• Domain: commercial-speed aerospace development with iterative, hardware-rich cadences.
• Experience with modeling and simulation, MBSE, digital threads, software development, or related design methods is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Own the outcome of a program end to end: define success, choose problems to solve, and set milestones to prove them.
• Embed with government and industry customers to understand their mission, constraints, and politics, building trusted relationships.
• Serve as named Program Manager on major federal programs and maintain accountability for contracts and commitments.
• Set direction for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team and protect their time from non-work activities.
• Drive the growth thesis: options, follow-ons, and expansions derived from delivered outcomes.
• Channel field learnings back into product and engineering to improve the platform for all customers.
• Travel to customer sites and participate in test events, ensuring milestones are met, typically domestic.
