Job summary

Istari is seeking a Deployment Strategist who will own customer program outcomes end-to-end, embedding with forward deployed engineers on flagship programs and defining what matters, what must be proven, and how the deployment becomes indispensable to the customer.

You will brief program executives and coordinate with government program offices, carrying the Program Manager designation on major federal programs.

Qualifications

• Track record of owning an outcome with no formal authority.
• Experience briefing executives and coordinating with government and industry customers.
• Domain expertise in naval engineering and defense supercomputing.
• Comfort with incomplete information and shifting requirements.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, test events, and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Own the program end-to-end: define success, choose problems, set milestones.
• Embed with government and industry customers and build relationships.
• Serve as named Program Manager on major federal programs and stand accountable for commitments.
• Set direction for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team and protect engineers' time.
• Own the growth thesis: option years and expansions from delivered outcomes.
• Feed field learnings back into product and engineering to improve the platform for all customers.
• Work day-to-day at or travel to customer sites, typically domestic.
