Job summary

Istari is seeking a Deployment Strategist to own the outcome of complex federal programs end to end. You will embed with a small team of forward deployed engineers, decide what matters, and brief executives on why a digital thread changes schedule risk. You will carry program manager designation on major DoD/NASA efforts and coordinate with government offices.

Qualifications

• Track record of owning an outcome with no formal authority over the people delivering it.
• Insider fluency in the customer domain with a clear view of what is broken in how that world works today.

Responsibilities

• Own the outcome of a program end to end: define success, choose problems, and set milestones to prove.
• Embed with government and industry customers to understand mission constraints and build durable relationships.
• Serve as named Program Manager on major federal programs: manage narratives, meetings, and contract commitments.
• Set direction for a small Forward Deployed Engineering team without intermediating between engineers and users.
• Own the growth thesis: options years, follow-ons, and expansions based on delivered outcomes.
• Feed field learnings back into product and engineering to improve the platform for all customers.
• Work day-to-day at or travel to customer sites, test events, hackathons, and milestones, typically domestic.
