Job summary

Threat Tec, LLC in Hampton, Virginia is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our corporate team. This role provides hands-on support across HR programs, policies, and processes while serving employees, managers, and leadership.

You will handle onboarding, offboarding, benefits, HRIS maintenance, compliance, performance management, and employee relations in a fast-paced government contracting environment. Strong communication and discretion are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Management, or related field.
• 2–3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably as HR Generalist.
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and standard HR practices.
• Experience onboarding, benefits, relations, performance management, and HR administration.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; familiarity with APS.
• Strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR resource for employees and managers on policies, benefits, and HR questions.
• Support onboarding, status changes, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
• Assist benefits administration and leave management, including FMLA.
• Support employee relations, performance concerns, and investigations.
• Contribute to performance management and employee development processes.
• Develop and communicate HR policies; ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with Payroll, Finance, Talent, Operations, and Contracts.
• Assist with audits, HR metrics, and process improvements.
