Job summary

Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD) is seeking a Data Governance Manager to lead the enterprise data governance program across the district. You will establish policy, standards, and stewardship practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliant use.

You will collaborate with ITS, Institutional Research, analytics, and college partners to implement governance, protect sensitive data including FERPA, and drive adoption through training and cross-functional practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, data management, or related field with 5 years in data governance.
• Two years leading governance initiatives, cross-functional data programs, or enterprise data quality efforts.
• Two years leading projects or mentoring technical staff; hands-on governance experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and ongoing improvement of the enterprise data governance framework.
• Define data quality, ownership, access, lifecycle, metadata, and lineage standards.
• Establish data councils and stewardship forums for accountability.
• Partner with stakeholders to clarify roles and governance responsibilities.
• Promote data as a shared institutional asset supporting decisions.
