Qualifications

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• At least 3 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, at a government agency, as a military judge advocate or as in-house counsel.
• 4+ years of experience in banking/regulatory contexts (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Legal point of contact for bank and cafe operations functions and support servicing strategies.
• Provide legal advice on responses to customer complaints and disputes.
• Collaborate with compliance and business partners to investigate consumer complaints and draft responses.
• Identify and coordinate resolution of potential line-of-business compliance or operational issues.
• Advise on standardized responses to recurring types of complaints or demands for compensation.
• Provide information on litigation and regulatory trends for business teams.
• Translate legal requirements into business context and align with legal SMEs.
• Engage cross-functionally to deliver legal support in a collaborative team.
