Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join our Seattle team and support cost management across diverse projects in the Pacific Northwest.

The role is client-facing, focusing on cost planning, estimating, procurement, and control through all project phases. Ideal candidates have strong cost management, quantity surveying skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Cost Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, or commercial management in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred or in progress.
• Experience on mid to large-scale construction projects and construction consultancy.
• Strong verbal and written communication and client stakeholder skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on procurement strategies, manage vendor prequalification, assess bids and support contractor appointments.
• Oversee estimating across the project lifecycle, develop and review cost estimates, and provide value engineering insights.
• Prepare and present cost reports, forecasts, and manage budgets and spend.
• Oversee cost control processes including change orders and payment applications.
• Manage project invoicing, benchmarking, and final account negotiations.
• Conduct post-project reviews and support continuous improvement.
• Utilize cost estimating, takeoff and project controls tools to deliver projects.
• Adhere to SOX controls where applicable.
