Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Cost Manager/Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support construction cost services for clients. The ideal candidate will be driven and promote our purposes and values.

Responsibilities include advising on procurement, developing estimates, presenting to clients, and managing cost reporting, control, and post-contract activities. On-site work may be required based on client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant cost management experience in construction.
• RICS accreditation is valuable.
• Experience supporting cost management on medium or large projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management and value engineering.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise on strategies, prequalify vendors, assess proposals and bid levelling documents.
• Develop project estimates for construction, fees and direct costs; review junior staff estimates.
• Present estimates to clients and provide value engineering and risk assessments.
• Review cost reports and forecasts; monitor project budgets and spend.
• Coordinate cost control by reviewing change orders and contractor entitlements.
• Oversee invoicing processes and commercial risk registers.
• Benchmark performance against successful commissions.
• Conduct post-contract reviews and lessons learned documentation.
• Prepare handover procedures and training materials.
