Job summary

Evolve Creative is seeking a Controller/CFO to lead accounting and financial operations, reporting, internal controls, and the accounting team. The role serves as a strategic financial partner to company leadership, providing analysis and recommendations to support business decisions and presenting financial results to the Board.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with 5+ years of financial management experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in financial management
• Proven experience leading finance and accounting; leadership preferred
• Strong cultural fit with our organization’s core values
• Proven accounting and financial reporting skills
• Proven ability to manage financial strategy for the organization

Responsibilities

• Develops and monitors internal controls, systems and procedures for finance and accounting
• Reviews and audits general ledger, A/P, A/R and purchasing
• Ensures compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Prepares and presents financial statements to the Board
• Coordinates audits with accounting team and external firm
• Provides financial analysis and variance insights to budget
• Develops budgets and forecasts for organization and departments
• Manages cash flow forecasting and liquidity
• Leads invoicing, purchasing, A/R and A/P to maximize cash flow
