Job summary

HITT Contracting, Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to oversee safety performance and development across assigned units. The role serves as a safety resource at project, business unit, and corporate levels, shaping HITT's safety program and culture.

You will assess safety needs, implement resources, and drive training, audits, and incident investigations to protect personnel and ensure compliance. A strong focus on leadership, mentoring, and collaboration with project teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred.
• CHST, CSP or equivalent professional safety designation.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• OSHA 30 Hour for construction; OSHA 500 preferred.
• Degree and five years of experience or eight or more years of construction safety experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety performance and development of assigned business units and direct reports.
• Lead safety inspections and incident investigations.
• Develop corporate safety program and safety culture.
• Mentor Safety Department staff and support operations/site teams.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, corporate and client safety regulations.
