Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking a Safety Manager to lead the safety performance and development across multiple business units.

You will supervise direct reports, conduct regular performance reviews, and drive the corporate safety program while partnering with project teams to maintain a strong safety culture. The role requires extensive knowledge of high-hazard areas, OSHA regulations, and the ability to deliver safety trainings, toolbox talks, and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred.
• CHST, CSP or equivalent professional safety designation.
• OSHA 30 Hour for construction required; OSHA 500 preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• OSHA 30H/OSHA 500 indicate level of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct report workloads and staffing based on project needs.
• Conduct regular check-ins and yearly performance evaluations.
• Participate in safety program development and corporate safety culture.
• Lead safety inspections and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety orientations effectively.
• Respond to emergencies and manage incident investigations.
• Mentor and coach safety department staff and site operations.
• Collaborate with project teams to meet safety goals across multiple sites.
