HITT Contracting, Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead safety performance and development across assigned business units. You will serve as a safety resource at project, unit and corporate levels, shaping safety culture and programs.

The role emphasizes evaluating hazards, leading inspections, mentoring staff, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, corporate, and client safety regulations.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in safety or related field preferred.
• CHST, CSP or equivalent professional safety designation.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• OSHA 30 Hour for construction; OSHA 500 preferred.
• Degree and five years of experience or eight or more years of construction safety experience; other experience may substitute.
• Good written and verbal communications skills.
• Ability to assess and prioritize multiple business unit needs, tasks, projects and demands.
• Willingness to respond to emergency or crisis conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Manage direct report workloads based on project volume and department responsibilities.
• Conduct regular check-ins and yearly performance evaluations for all direct reports.
• Assess training and learning needs for direct reports.
• Train and support Safety Department members as needed.
• Review career path goals with team members and provide feedback on development.
• Participate in retention and recruitment of Safety Department staff.
• Manage outside consultant project needs and performance.
• Evaluate project safety policies for effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
• Deliver on-site safety training and toolbox talks effectively.
