Job summary

The Crom Corporation in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Project Manager II to independently manage standard projects and ensure safe, profitable, and well-executed work through disciplined project controls.

You will coordinate with accounting, engineering, procurement, safety, training, logistics, and field teams; develop CPM schedules, manage budgets, and communicate with clients and subcontractors to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Mgmt or Civil Eng or equivalent tech degree plus 1–3 years PM experience at CROM or 3 years related PM experience.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record and insurance.
• Team player and able to work with diverse personnel.

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects from startup through closeout with ownership of scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, documentation, communication, and client expectations.
• Understand contract documents including executed contract, plans, specs, addenda, safety and quality requirements, schedule requirements, scope inclusions and exclusions.
• Prepare startup packages with contract documentation, job cost and budget information, QA/QC requirements, safety requirements, and schedules.
• Prepare CPM project schedules and maintain look-ahead schedules; update schedules based on field progress.
• Coordinate drawings, submittals, procurement, and documentation with drafting, engineering, procurement, subs, vendors, and Purchasing.
• Visit project sites to monitor progress and ensure safety, quality, and resource needs.
• Coordinate preconstruction meetings covering scope review, safety, quality, budget, schedule, and logistics.
• Support inspections and controls including safety and quality inspections, testing, and documentation for schedule/budget revisions.
• Facilitate timely project closeout and post-project assessment.
