Job summary

CROM, LLC in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Project Manager I to learn and apply the CROM Project Management System while supporting project execution with disciplined project controls, documentation, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

The PM I develops foundational project management skills while managing assigned responsibilities under the guidance of more experienced project leadership. This role focuses on safety, quality, and efficient progress on active projects.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of construction with a proven history of managing people and projects.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and insurance.
• Basic understanding of typical construction materials and methods.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong skills in scheduling, submittals, and document control.
• Must be a team player and able to work well with a diverse group of personnel.

Responsibilities

• Learn and apply CROM project management processes, standards, operating procedures, project controls, documentation expectations, and communication practices.
• Review project contracts, plans, specifications, addenda, schedules, safety requirements, quality requirements, startup requirements, and assigned project responsibilities under guidance.
• Support project startup activities including startup packages, procurement coordination, scheduling, project documentation, and on-site information needs.
• Assist with CPM project schedules and look-ahead schedules based on project requirements and direction from leadership.
• Coordinate drawing, submittal, procurement, and documentation activities with drafting, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, vendors, and project leadership.
• Maintain project controls including submittal logs, RFI logs, procurement tracking, action item logs, documentation management, meeting notes, and project reports.
• Support communication with Superintendents and project teams to track progress, safety awareness, quality expectations, and field coordination needs.
• Assist with change documentation, delay documentation, project reporting, inspections, closeout activities, and post-project reviews.
