Job summary

FlatironDragados in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a large, technically complex construction project from start to finish. You will manage budget, schedule, and teams to ensure timely delivery and high quality.

The role demands 15+ years in construction PM, 10+ years managing personnel, a engineering degree, and proven experience with bid-build or design-build delivery. A valid driver’s license and strong stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Over 15 years of construction project management experience.
• Over 10 years managing personnel.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field a plus.
• Proven experience in bid-build, CMCG, design-build and other delivery methods.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong interpersonal and risk management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple departments and direct reports.
• Ability to identify growth opportunities and mentor staff.
• Ability to delegate tasks and manage finances to minimize risk.
• Negotiation skills for project work, budget and recoveries.
• Branding and sales knowledge to promote company.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of the project, including construction, budget and cash management.
• Develops and manages the project schedule, pay estimates, staffing, and equipment resources.
• Reviews contracts with the owner to resolve issues and conflicts.
• Leads engineering and scheduling teams to identify change orders.
• Prepares monthly cost and revenue forecasts and reports.
• Maintains relationships with supporting departments and the owner to support the work plan.
• Serves as main contact for third-party stakeholders including landowners and government agencies.
• Reviews and approves internal and external media releases related to the project.
• Ensures project safety via weekly checks and safety meetings.
• Approves staffing and equipment needs.
• Participates in dispute resolution with legal counsel.
• Provides input on procurement methods and contracts.
• Leads project closeout, finalizes paperwork and retainages, and conducts debriefs.
