Job summary

Salisbury Moore, LLC is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead cost-effective procurement for construction projects, ensuring timely delivery aligned with schedules and budgets.

You will negotiate with vendors, manage purchase orders, track material costs, and support pre-construction activities while fostering strong supplier relationships and accurate reporting.

This role collaborates with project teams, field staff, and subcontractors across multiple sites to drive efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction purchasing or procurement role.
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end procurement, ensuring alignment with project schedules and budgets.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for materials, vendors, PO numbers, and costs; report weekly.
• Negotiate vendor pricing and secure favorable terms to enhance profitability.
• Issue and manage purchase orders for hospitality and commercial construction projects; verify invoices.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure reliable sourcing and proactive issue resolution.
• Support project budgeting by tracking material costs and reconciling budgets weekly/daily.
• Source and vet subcontractors; assist with scope buyouts as needed.
• Ensure materials meet quality standards and oversee inspection and delivery processes.
