Job summary

Ply University is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement for construction projects, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of materials while maintaining cost controls. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience in CM/Business/SC
• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction purchasing or procurement
• Demonstrated experience negotiating contracts and managing vendor relationships

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end procurement aligned with project schedules and budgets
• Develop and maintain a tracking system for materials, vendors, and costs with weekly reporting
• Negotiate vendor pricing and secure favorable terms
• Issue and manage purchase orders; verify invoices for payment
• Maintain vendor relationships and resolve supply chain challenges
• Support project budgeting and procurement reporting with job costing software
• Source and vet subcontractors and assist with scope buyouts
• Ensure materials meet quality standards and coordinate delivery
• Assist estimating teams with pricing during pre-construction
• Lead development of a company-wide tool inventory and control system
• Participate in weekly management meetings and procurement updates
• Support field operations with permits and inspections where applicable
• Identify new vendors and sourcing opportunities
• Perform other related duties
