Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager in Michigan to own market relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. This role focuses on pipeline management, opportunities tracking, and closing deals for testing and inspection services.

Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $115,000 with commission on collected revenue from accounts developed. Travel locally and occasionally to Sugar Land, reporting to a Sugar Land HQ when required, and

Qualifications

5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with superintendents and owners.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
Own relationships end to end and track permits, bid boards, and project announcements.
Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact to signed agreement.
Coordinate proposals with engineering: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
Represent the company at industry events and report pipeline monthly.
