Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in a Michigan market. You will own the pipeline, coordinate proposals with the engineering team, and pursue opportunities from first contact to signed agreements.

The role offers a base salary of $85,000–$115,000 plus commission on collected revenue, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable discussing specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage relationships with target contractors, owners, developers and design firms.
• Track permits, bid boards and project announcements to win work.
• Run the pursuit pipeline in the CRM from first contact through proposal to signed agreement.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing and qualifications.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings and client events; report pipeline monthly.
