Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the pipeline of general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms in your market. You’ll manage relationships from first contact to signed testing and inspection work, collaborating with a seller-doer engineer on pricing and technical scope.

Base salary ranges from $85,000 to $115,000 with commissions on collected revenue from accounts you develop.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and terms with a superintendent and owner.

Responsibilities

• Build a target list and own relationships end to end.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work before it is awarded.
• Coordinate proposals with engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications, and follow-up.
• Represent the company at industry associations, pre-bid meetings, and client events; report pipeline and results monthly.
