Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Director, Commercial Management to lead oversight across regional construction projects, driving down costs and ensuring financial controls. The role includes program management for design and construction, and preparation of business cases for approval.

Responsibilities span budgeting, procurement guidance, contract strategy, risk management, and leadership of the Commercial Management team, collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience ideally in data center or mission critical system design and construction and costing.
• Bachelor's degree in construction, business, financial or related field preferred.
• RICS Accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning and monitoring of construction projects from start to completion.
• Monitor financial close-out including vendor settlements.
• Report status to senior management and manage commercial metrics.
• Guide procurement strategies for design services and contractor agreements.
• Lead risk management through audits, contingency analyses and training.
• Direct and develop regional Commercial Management team and establish best practices.
