Job summary

Equinix is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead the commercial oversight for major expansion construction projects across the AMER region. You will work with Design, Construction, Procurement, Finance, and Legal to drive down costs, manage risks, and ensure adherence to internal controls.

You will develop budgets, analyse market data, and lead procurement strategies in collaboration with regional teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in construction, business, financial or related field or equivalent experience.
Senior-level proven experience in a Commercial Management role.
Data center experience and mission critical facility knowledge preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Detail oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Procurement of third-party consultants including Design, Commercial and Pre-Construction Services.
Development of detailed RFPs and service deliverables for commercial management services.
Day-to-day management of third-party commercial consultants to ensure timely delivery and quality.
Development of contractor and supplier procurement strategies with the Construction Management team.
Collaborate with Legal and COE to prepare General Contractor Contracts and negotiate terms.
Prepare budgets, cost modelling, benchmarking, and present to senior management.
Post-contract: monitor budgets, cost checks, VE, and change management.
Oversee monthly cashflow, cost reports, and risk assessments.
